COVID-19 and how to keep your business alive.

On this post I will be addressing the issue of the pandemic and how you could avoid losing business.

Everything has stopped.

To start, a lot of businesses are inactive due to this pandemic. This means, that in the near future, we will be facing an economic collapse that will be unprecedented.

Furthermore, some businesses will not be able to recover after this, making everything even worse.

Because of this, I would like to give you some tips on this post. These, will help you stand out and retain costumers and long-term business.

But before, I would like to introduce you the companies that are currently being more profitable than ever. What do you think is keeping them alive?

Who is retaining business

Firstly, all the online TV platform, such as Netflix. Everybody is locked at home at the moment, people need to combat the boredom, and there is nothing better than watching a movie or 7 seasons of Game of Thrones in a row.

Secondly, we have all the businesses that are based entirely online. Even though the sales of the non-essential items have plummeted, this businesses are still capable of working more or less normally. Some people are only able to buy online due to the imposed quarantine.

Thirdly, we have the adult industry and specially PornHub, who has freed up their premium package for a week, keeping people at home (not me, of course) in order to flatten the curve of contagion. I have to admit that the marketing strategy of PornHub has been incredible and a lot of people are getting to know the platform because of this.

Whether you like porn or not, anybody can admit that this is a great marketing campaign

Then we have the food industry. Is not that people are eating more because of the lockdown, in fact, they should be eating less, as they spend most of their time at home, using less energy. The rise of the demand of food comes from people stocking up food thinking that the apocalypse will come with the virus. I personally think, that some people are just panicking excessively because of this, without thinking rationality and letting their emotions rule their actions.

Lastly, we have the pharmaceutical industry. This makes complete sense, and probably I don’t to explain you why this is. Face masks, disinfectants and the race for the holy vaccine.

Who is having a bad time in business.

Basically, everybody else. Specially, businesses that sell non-essential stuff like clothing, books and so on.

I also want to make a special mention about the airline and tourism industries. These two, have basically reduce their activity substantially (if not completely), and we will probably see many big airline companies disappear in the near future.

There is still hope to keep your business afloat.

The magic tool to do this is the same one that is allowing you to read this from a phone, tablet or laptop, anywhere at anytime. That is the internet.

If you have a look at the active businesses mentioned above, you will see that all of them except one, are partially or entirely based online.

Luckily for you, I want to help as many businesses as possible to move their activities online. I am currently running a free consultation program that will allow you to take advantage of this complete free. So feel free to ask me any questions about how the web can help your business, even if you think it’s silly.

Obviously, I can not ensure you that you will make an amazing profit right now. But moving your activities online will ensure that you will be able to promote your brand, making sure your customers are up to date and even winning some extra clients

Last but not least,

I wish the best to all the businesses that are suffering substantially during this crisis.
